How to enter a BritLink Order

Click to print BritLink User Notes (if you are using a browser version 4.0 or below, right click on background and select the print option from the menu.)


Log on to BritLink. Click on Order Entry, enter your Account Code and Password , click on Login. The order entry screen will now display.

Add Item - click on the Add Item button, type in a part number, press enter and type in the quantity required. A pick window may appear if there are several choices for the part number. If you get a pick window, highlight the item required and press enter. Then enter the quantity required. Click on the Add item button to add the next part to the order. 

Edit Item - If you need to change a quantity for an item in the order, click on the item, then click on Edit Item, delete the old quantity, enter the new, then push enter.

Delete Item - To delete an item from the order, click on it, then click on Delete item .

View Picture - Highlight an item on the order, click on View Picture, if a picture is available for the item it will display.

Add Comment - Click on Add Comment, click in the box, type in a comment, up to twenty eight characters long, then push enter.

Void Order - To get rid of an order click on Void Order. A message will pop up, Are you sure you want to void the order? click OK. A new message will pop up, Your order has been voided, click Continue .

Park Order - To leave the order open so that it can be visited later click on Park Order.

Refresh Screen - To refresh the screen click on Refresh Screen.

Print Order - Click on Print Order, the order will display on the screen in a new window, right click your mouse and select Print. Click on the X in the top right hand corner of the window to close.

Commit
- To complete the order click Commit Order, the next prompt will be for a Purchase authorization number, if you do not have one, enter your name, then click Continue. If you need the order to be delivered to the attention of someone, enter their name, in the Attention box, then click on Complete Order. The order will display on the screen in a new window, right click with the mouse and then click on print. Click on the X in the top right hand corner of the window to close.

At the top of the order entry screen there are six more buttons:

Laundry - This is a listing of the last fifty items ordered. Click Laundry, the Laundry List will display, enter the quantity required for each item, scroll to the bottom of the list and click on Add required laundry items to order now . Any items with a quantity will now display in the order.

Company List - The Company List is set up by the Account Administrator, if there is no Company List set up a message will display telling you this when you click on Company List. If a list is set up click Company List, the Company List will display, enter the quantity required for each item, scroll to the bottom of the list and click on Add required items to order now. Any items with a quantity will now display in the order.

My Items - My Items is a great place to set up items that you do not purchase frequently but do not want to forget the part number for, ex. a specific pen refill, toner cartridge, or printer ribbon. To set up click My Items, then click on Set up my items. The My Items List Management Screen will display.

Add Item - click on Add Item enter in a part number, if it is not a unique number a pick list will display, highlight the item required, push enter or click on Add item to order button.

Delete Item
- To delete an item from the list, click on it, then click on the Delete item button.

Park List - If you wish to finish the list at a later time click on Park List and then click OK. A message will pop up, Your shopping list has been saved, click on Close. Then scroll to bottom of My Items list and click Add required items to order screen to return to order screen. To access the list again, click on My Items and Edit my items.

Refresh - To refresh the screen click on Refresh .

Picture - To see a picture of an item click on Picture.

Update Now - When you have completed the My Items List click on Update Now, click on OK. A message will pop up, Your shopping list has been updated, click Close. Then scroll to bottom of My Items list and click Add required items to order screen to return to order screen.

You can edit the My Items list at any time, click on My Items, then click Edit my items.

Search - Click on Search, then select either Product type, keyword or Manufacturer

Product Type - Highlight a product type, click to select product type, if you find the product, click add to order then enter in quantity required. If you do not find the product, click order screen to return to order. Click refresh screen before selecting Search again.

Keyword - Enter a description keyword and push enter, ex. chair, if you find the product, click add to order then enter in quantity required. If you do not find the product, click order screen to return to order. Click refresh screen before selecting Search again.

Manufacturer - Highlight a manufacturer, click Select Manufacturer. If you find the product, click add to order then enter in quantity required. If you do not find the product, click order screen to return to order. Click refresh screen before selecting Search again.

Categories - A search function, click Categories, highlight a category, click Select Category, highlight a product type, click Select Product Type, products will list if you wish to add to the order click add to order, then enter in the quantity required and enter.

Specials
- Special promotional items are listed here, click Specials to review the list, enter the quantity required for each item, scroll to the bottom of the list and click on Add required items to order now. Any items with a quantity will now display in the order. If there are no promotional items set up a message will display, No specials are set-up at this time, click OK.
